One of the main reasons for the increase of R’s popularity is the fast, efficient and intuitive way to work with datasets. Our Firebase API package for R named Firedata, which we successfully developed for the Google SOC project in 2017, connects R to the Google Firebase environment and provides R users a stable & intuitive database option for the development of countless applications. The project aims to integrate Firedata into the Google Cloud Firestore and equip the Firedata package with novel Firebase APIs and features. Our overall goal is to provide a simple and intuitive way to deploy R applications.
